Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 23rd October 2018

Eastbourne Rescheduled.

The trip to Eastbourne in July was cancelled at the last minute. Apologies to everyone who waited in vain for the coach to arrive. We have rescheduled this trip for Tuesday 7th August but a full refund is available if you are unable to make this date.

Not wanting to waste a day out, we split up into groups, with some heading off to southend, while Ann, Lily, Alan  and others headed to Gravesend (via the ferry).  We had a very pleasant time on the promenade, taking a cold drink and sitting on the river bank before retiring to The Three Daws for lunch.

Trip to Felixstowe

On Tuesday 15th May, we had a coach trip to Felixstowe. It was a lovely sunny day, we enjoyed being by the sea, watching the boats and we had a lovely fish and chip lunch. After a couple of hours, we were back on to draw the raffle and then make our way to Tiptree for afternoon tea.

Spring Buffet

Our Spring Buffet was held on Tuesday 10th March at Tyrrells Hall Social Club. There was a good selection of Hot & Cold food and plenty of it!. Thank you to Beryl for organising the afternoon and thanks to all those who donated the raffle prizes. It was a well-attended event and we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves.

Clarriots Care

On Tuesday 27th March we had a visit from the team at Clarriots Care, who told us about the services that they can provide, should you or a family member need care in the home. They are a very friendly team and are based in Grays. Before leaving they left us with a donation for club funds.

Stanford-le-Hope U3A Quiz Night

Stanford Le Hope and District U3A held a quiz night on Friday 23rd March 2018 at Gable Hall School. We had a table at the quiz and achieved a magnificent last place. Despite this showing, we had a great evening and enjoyed ourselves. U3A made us all very welcome. We are grateful to U3A for donating all of the profits from both the quiz and raffle to the Thurrock Stroke Club.
